I was just making the most epic hat ever… I even put a bird on it!
Pictures and real post to follow.
*Updated*
As promised, from the camera of my friend Jami Davis, who should really get paid for this type of work:
Jami, Ann & i got our fancy lady ideas out and decided to make some ridiculously fantastic hats for Jami’s 30th-Birthday-weekend-long-extravaganza in San Francisco.
This required not only substantial drinking, but ribbon and birds. Ann rocked a classic east coast wide-brimmed white beauty. Jami has a classy butterfly (who i will name Bettina) and, not to be outdone by the chance to make a huge hat even more wonderful, mine has Phillip in a purple nest. Yes, yes i did glue feathers on his bum to make him better able to match my salad dress.

That is us in front of a race track. Betting on horses may be my new favorite pastime... Especially if i get to wear such fancy clothes!!
See? Salad dress. Trust me about Bettina, Jami’s hat is just tilted because Bettina could not tear her eyes away from the track. I tell you, betting on a horse at random is exhilarating! It also helps that we bet $2 at a time and Ann had a tip about a horse in the 9th 🙂
Thanks for being awesome my friends!! And for wearing our hats in public with pride!

It’s absolutely worth the wait…
Taking that much time to finish a posting could get you rescued!!
